Murder Mystery

A murder mystery dinner is the most participatory night out in Branson. You are seated, fed, given a crime, and expected to work out who did it while the cast plays it out around your table – which makes it a good fit for groups, birthdays and anyone who finds sitting still through a concert hard work.

Two productions run here. WhoDunnit Hoedown plays the format through a broad Ozarks-comedy lens, with the humor pitched at all ages. The Branson Murder Mystery Dinner Show takes a somewhat straighter theatrical approach to the same idea. Both include a meal in the ticket price.

Because the meal is part of the show rather than served beforehand, arrival times run earlier than a standard theater and seating is usually assigned – check each show’s page for its arrival instructions. If the dinner element is what appeals more than the mystery, the wider dinner show list has nine options including chuckwagon suppers and Dolly Parton’s Stampede.
