Museums

Branson’s museums are the reliable answer to a rainy afternoon, and two or three of them are strong enough to plan a day around rather than fall back on.

The Titanic Museum Attraction is the one to see first – a half-scale recreation of the ship’s bow where visitors are issued a real passenger’s boarding pass and find out at the end whether they survived. The Veterans Memorial Museum is quieter and genuinely moving, with a bronze frieze naming the American dead of the Second World War. The World’s Largest Toy Museum earns its title across several buildings, and the Hollywood Wax Museum sits right on the strip, with an All-Access Pass bundling its neighbouring attractions. The Branson Dinosaur Museum and the History of Fishing Museum round out the list – the latter far more interesting than it sounds if anyone in the party fishes.

Most of these run year-round with consistent hours, which makes them useful ballast in a Branson itinerary built around evening shows and weather-dependent outdoor attractions.
