Rock and roll in Branson skews toward the founding era rather than anything after about 1975, which suits the town’s theaters and its audiences.

Five productions are listed. Million Dollar Quartet stages the 1956 Sun Studio session that put Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins in one room – it is the most narrative of them and comes with a dinner option. Dean Z – The Ultimate Elvis and Jerry Presley’s Elvis Live both hold regular Elvis runs. Anthems of Rock takes a wider stadium-rock songbook, and Hot Rods & High Heels frames fifties rock in a car-culture production.
