Which Days Is Silver Dollar City Closed for the Rest of October?
Three. From October 16 to October 31, 2026, the theme park is closed on Tuesday October 20, Tuesday October 27 and Wednesday October 28, and open every other day for Harvest Festival, which runs through Saturday October 31. The water park, White Water, is closed throughout this period.
The closed days are the detail most worth checking before you book anything else. Each of them falls on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, so a midweek trip needs the most care. Weekends are open, with the longest hours of the week.
Silver Dollar City is at 399 Silver Dollar City Pkwy, Branson, and the park’s phone number is 417.336.7100. See our Silver Dollar City listing for the park itself.

What Does Silver Dollar City Do for Fall?
Its fall event is Harvest Festival, running now through October 31, 2026. The park describes more than 20,000 pumpkins in displays across The City, hundreds of visiting artisans alongside its own resident craftsmen, a limited-time fall menu, and illuminated pumpkin displays after dark. A park ticket or 2026 season passport is required for admission.

Pumpkins
The park says more than 20,000 pumpkins decorate The City, from real pumpkins of every shape and size to carved pieces and tall sculptures. In Wilson’s Farm, the Garden of Giants holds massive pumpkins, some of which the park says weigh over 1,000 pounds.
Craftsmen and Demonstrations
Silver Dollar City calls its gathering of craftsmen a tradition more than 50 years in the making, with hundreds of visiting artisans showing heritage crafts, fine art, home goods and fiber arts. The park’s own resident craftsmen demonstrate blacksmithing, glassblowing and pottery.
The park also lists a few limited-time extras for this year’s festival:
- Master pumpkin carver Barry Brown carving in real time while sharing stories and carving tips.
- Chuck wagon cooks demonstrating and competing at the Cowboy Camp.
- A showcase of western-inspired artists, including Yellowstone and Gunsmoke actor Buck Taylor, at The Cowboy Emporium.
Fall Food
The park describes a limited-time fall menu with soups, stews, skillets, walk-around treats, seasonal drinks and desserts built around pumpkin and apple. The menu section below lists a selection of the dishes and the Tasting Ticket price. For food outside the park, see our guide to where to eat in Branson.
What Is There to Do After Dark?
After sunset, Harvest Festival lights up with thousands of illuminated pumpkins. The park lists the lantern-filled Canopy Sky, the lights and mist of Foggy Hollow, and a three-story Pumpkin Greeter. Starting at 5:30 each evening, the expanded Plaza hosts family dance parties and photo opportunities with Peter and Penelope Pumpkin.

The rides keep running into the evening too, and the park lists signature entertainment such as the Silver Dollar Saloon along with live music, comedy and magic. On Fridays and Saturdays the park stays open until 10pm, an hour later than the rest of the week, which gives you more time after dark.
One thing to plan around: the park says only select shops stay open until closing time during Harvest Festival, so do any shopping earlier in the day.

What Is on the Harvest Festival Menu?
Silver Dollar City publishes its full limited-time fall menu by eatery, and pumpkin and apple run through most of it. The Harvest Festival Tasting Ticket costs $38 plus tax and is valid for five tasting-sized items from that menu through October 31, 2026. Here is a selection of the dishes the park lists.
| Eatery | Fall menu items listed by the park |
|---|---|
| Apple Dumpling Shack on Valley Road | Apple Dumpling with Pumpkin Caramel Sauce and Ice Cream |
| Buckshot’s Skillet Cookery | Pulled Pork Sandwich with Pumpkin BBQ Sauce; Pumpkin Chili with Cornbread Crumble |

| The Smorgasbord in The Plaza | Cajun White Chicken Chili; Chicken and Sausage Gumbo with Cheddar Grits; Harvest Apple Lemonade |
| Frisco Kettle Corn | Pumpkin Spiced Kettle Corn |
The menu above is a selection, not the full list the park publishes. If you plan to use a Tasting Ticket, pick the five dishes you most want before you go, since it covers five tasting-sized items.
How Much Are Silver Dollar City Tickets?
A one-day ticket is as low as $85 on select days when you buy online at least 24 hours ahead, or $95 for a ticket valid on any operating day through January 2, 2027. A second day costs $20 more. Prices do not include tax, and ages 3 and under are free.
The park shows pricing for ages 4 to 11 and 65 and over when you click to buy.
A 2026 Season Passport starts at $175, and the park says it gives unlimited visits now through January 2, 2027. A ticket or 2026 season passport is required for admission, including during Harvest Festival.
Where Do You Park at Silver Dollar City?
Silver Dollar City says the majority of its parking is free, with trams and buses running guests from the parking lots to the ticket courtyard. Disabled parking sits closest to the park and in lots 2 to 5, and the park also lists premium parking options on its parking page.
The disabled spaces in lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 sit next to the pick-up point. There are a limited number of them, and when they fill, a parking attendant can direct you to the disabled drop-off at the front of the park.
Can You Wear a Costume to Silver Dollar City?
No. Silver Dollar City says that for the safety and security of all guests, costumes are not allowed to be worn by guests at the park. That matters in October, when many families are planning Halloween outfits, so leave costumes for an evening event elsewhere in town and arrive at the park in regular clothes.
Is Silver Dollar City Busy in October?
We could not find any crowd figures on Silver Dollar City’s own pages. What the calendar does show is that the last open days of Harvest Festival, Thursday October 29 to Saturday October 31, follow the two closed days of October 27 and 28, and that Halloween itself is a Saturday.
Two practical points follow from the park’s own pages. The lowest one-day price, as low as $85, applies only on select days and only when you buy online 24 hours in advance, so buying early can save money. And Fridays and Saturdays have the longest hours, 9:30am to 10pm, which gives you the most time in the park if you can only go on a weekend.
What Comes After Harvest Festival?
An Old Time Christmas follows, running November 7, 2026 to January 2, 2027. The park describes more than 6.5 million lights, Broadway-style shows, handcrafted gifts and holiday meals, plus a new Stars, Lights and Christmas Nights Parade for 2026. Check the calendar for which days the park is open between November 1 and November 6.

How Should You Plan an October Visit?
Start with the calendar, then build the rest of the trip around it. Pick an open day, buy online at least 24 hours ahead if you want the lower price, and leave room for the evening, when the pumpkins light up. A few more tips from the park’s own pages help the day run smoothly.
- Avoid October 20, 27 and 28, when the park is closed.
- Leave costumes at home for the park visit.
- Shop earlier in the day, since only select shops stay open until closing during the festival.
- Consider a second day for $20 more if you want both the craftsmen by day and the lights by night.
