Breakfast

Breakfast is a competitive meal in Branson, partly because so many visitors are up early for a drive to Silver Dollar City or a morning tee time.

Billy Gail’s is the name locals give first – pancakes the size of the plate, and a queue on weekend mornings that is part of the experience. Mountain Top Grill and Mid-town Cafe in Reeds Spring are the unpretentious diner end. Truman Cafe & Custard and Canteen at Long Creek serve the Big Cedar side south of town, and Ye Olde English Inn does breakfast in Hollister. For coffee-forward mornings, Table Rock Coffee Roasters roasts its own, and White River Coffee, Coffee on the Rocks and Steamy Joe Cafe cover the rest. Transylvania Bakery is the pastry option and better than the name suggests.

Practical note: breakfast hours in Branson end earlier than in a city – several of these stop serving mid-morning and a few close entirely by early afternoon. If you want a late breakfast, check hours on the individual pages first.
